ORB PHOTOGRAPHS - By Robin Plummer
The Orb Phenomenon is taking the paranormal world by storm. The name orb is derived from the fact that the object is round and it appears to be a form of energy that is produced by a manifestation of a spirit in its lowest possible form. The orb can appear low to the ground or high in the sky. I have seen them 2 foot off the ground and 6ft above a house. The object can appear and disappear in one place or actually move, it can also glow. Audio recording devices can sometimes pick up EVP – Electronic Voice Phenomenon at the same time as orbs going by this can be odd sounds or actual words. Orbs appear to be sneaky in that they will move around trying to evade capture on film. Since the invention of the Digital Camera more and more Orbs are being photographed around the world and filmed appearing and disappearing using Infrared camcorders. Let me first say that 95% of all "orbs" you will see on a stills digital camera will be dust related. That’s not to say that a 35mm SLR with IS0200 film could not get one (in fact we have on a £5 disposable camera), it just seems to be easier to get them on digital due to the low costs involved (no developing) and the amount of photos taken especially at night with a flash (skeptics point to this as illuminated dust particles) but you can photograph them in daylight without a flash and get them but they are rarer. The only explanation I can think of for this is that Digital equipment is electronic and the energy provided by the camera could be the key to getting an orb in a photo. It doesn't matter which make or brand of camera you use. It has been subjected by some skeptics that the proximity of the lens to flash causes the problem. Most compact cameras are like this, but I have both an SLR type with a pop up flash and a compact which a flash close to the lens made by different manufactures. I get the results with both. In fact the SLR is the better one with a higher mega pixel count (another thing skeptics say that electronic noise from low spec mega pixel cameras cause them) I have 8.4MP SLR photos that have been taken of them. As I said earlier you can probably explain 95% of white/blue orbs as dust like particles or moisture, but 5% look different please read on to find out how. You also seem to find orbs in places where people have died for example graveyards, why I don't know?. That’s not to say you will always photograph one, you might take 100 photos and not find a single orb, it depends if you get lucky! We capture orbs on a £5 throw away film camera. No longer a digital phenomenon?
Film camera still & negative Things to avoid when taking photos inside Reflective surfaces, such as mirrors, glossy painted walls, glass, perspex, ornaments such as crystals, dusty environments, dirty lens, camera shake, creaky floorboards (indicates movement of floor and likely dust disturbances), smoking! Things to avoid when taking photos outside Dirty lens, cold misty air, water moisture in air, rain or drizzle, snow, disturbing loose sandy or gravel surfaces whilst taking photos, camera shake, smoking! Fuji Film have some advice about taking photos in regard to orbs you can find that here. No one company or skeptic has been able to satisfy me as to fully explain the phenomenon 100% without doubt Below are some common misconceptions of what orbs are and the tests I have undertaken to prove my theories
RAIN DROPLETS OUTSIDE
This is a close up of the water droplets shown above. Note: that they are only visible when it’s raining!, they are always white or blue in color and of an odd shape as they are falling. Note the lack of detail and focus. If water gets on the lens it will be an obvious smeared blob.
WATER MOISTURE IN THE AIR WATER MOISTURE ON LENS LENS FLARE (FROM SUN)
DUST PARTICLES INDOORS CLOSE TO LENS Above is a photograph of what dust particles look like when disturbed by compressed air indoors. NOTE : The dust has to be within 4 inches of the lens to appear (anything beyond that is not picked up) as an object similar to an orb in the photo. Dust outside kicked up by vehicles at close range will look the same.
Close up of dust particles shown in above photo. Note the density, lack of focus and lighting of dust and the fact that it is not visible when more than 4 inches away from the lens. NOTE : It is hard to get a camera on auto focus to focus on dust far away from the lens

GENUINE BLUE ORB This is the GENUINE blue orb shown above up close. Note the size of the object, the density of the object is similar to an electron. The focus is clear and there are color variations and distinct detail. Orbs also are seen in Yellow, Red and White and other colours. Sometimes they have what looks like a face in them. Unlike anything else they can also sometimes be seen by someone without a camera if the energy level is sufficiently produced by them and they can be captured moving on infrared video.
Above are photographs of actual orbs taken on location I have photographed orbs in a number of locations and they often appear when you least expect them. Digital Cameras pick them up best at night although I have seen them indoors during the day in a house that has not had any association with a ghost and with my own eyes.
The photos above were taken during the day, the sun was behind the clouds and no flash was used. Notice an orb that is behind an object in this case bars, something that dust doesn't do! Orbs come in many categories
You made find on the internet a colour orb chart showing what the meanings are of each colour. Personally I think it is unproven information. Many of the definitions are just examples of what humans define colours to be in everyday life so didn't take a lot of thought. For example it states that Red is anger which is what any one would draw in a picture of an angry person. Amber is caution which is also what is also it's meaning on a traffic light!.
